There is no doubt Sam suffers an incredible amount of trauma throughout and also during his childhood, so it is understandable why he so often suffers. However, what does not always sit right is how he does so in silence.
It could be related to his feelings on Lucifer, on growing up with John, or even on the losses of people in his life, but Sam often keeps his feelings to himself until they come out in explosive bursts of emotion.
The finale got a lot wrong, and fans wish to wrap up fifteen years of Winchester adventures. One of the weirdest decisions made in the finale was to show that Sam had a wife and family but not actually show who the wife was.

One of the biggest running jokes among fans is how most seasons of the show see either of Sam or Dean lie to the other brother, only for it to blow up in their faces, all before making up. This constant lying generally has not aged well.
