Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have broken their silence regarding the death of their co-star, Bob Saget, who died suddenly on Sunday at the age of 65. The Olsen sisters, on the hit ABC show, are “deeply saddened” by , and “thinking of his daughters.”
say that the comedian will be a guiding presence in their lives after he was found dead at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando. Saget was performing in Florida performing part of his comedy tour.
“Bob was the most loving, compassionate, and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,” Mary-Kate and Ashley said in a joint statement.
"We are thinking of his daughters, wife, and family and are sending our condolences," they continued.
The Olsen twins worked alongside Saget on the beloved 90s sitcom
The Olsen twins were the only members of the main cast to not return for Netflix's reboot in 2016. Despite not returning to the reboot, the sisters kept in touch with their TV dad; the two supported him at a comedy show in 2009, and Ashley Olsen .
The twin fashion mogul’s on-screen sister, Candace Cameron Bure, was also saddened by Saget’s sudden passing.
John Stamos and Dave Coulier also honored their longtime friend and co-star.
Dave Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone, said that his "heart was broken" over the death of Saget.

The two would form a decades-long friendship while working together on the show.
