Thanks to Eric Kripke, Supernatural lives on.
It would be strange to compare two shows as different as The Boys and Supernatural, but here we are. Eric Kripke, the creator of both projects, hid several Easter eggs and wove images from Supernatural into the adaptation of the notorious superhero satire.
The appearance of Jensen Ackles is not the first and far from the only reference to the legendary show.
The most obvious reference is, no, not Jensen Ackles, but Robert Singer, the US Secretary of Defense. He was played by Jim Beaver, who also portrayed veteran hunter Bobby Singer on Supernatural.
