Instead of Danny (Bob Saget), Jesse (John Stamos) walked Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) down the aisle during Fuller House's series finale, and it's possible that the middle Tanner sister didn't want her dad to escort her during her own wedding. In 2016, Netflix reopened the iconic San Francisco home after more than two decades since it first closed its doors when Full House ended in 1995. The offshoot focused on Tanner sisters DJ (Candace Cameron-Bure) and Stephanie, as well as, their neighbor and long-time friend, Kimmy (Andrea Barber).
While the primary focus of Fuller House was DJ as she went through the same thing her dad did in the original show — losing a spouse unexpectedly and having to raise three young kids, the spin-off gave the other characters their respective arcs. For Stephanie, that includes having to give up her days as a partying DJ to stay at home and help her sister. While she was initially hesitant about this move as she missed her fast-paced life, she learned that she actually likes staying at home.
With a family of three, the only thing left to do to make things official for Stephanie and Jimmy is to get married. Right after the birth of Danielle, the couple got engaged with their wedding taking place at the same time as DJ and Steve (Scott Weinger), as well as, Kimmy and Fernando (Juan Pablo di Pace) in the Fuller House finale.
Fuller House devoted its final nine episodes to building up the triple wedding. While almost everything that could go wrong on the day itself did, the Tanners came through by relocating the event to the house's backyard which gave it a more intimate feel.
