Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer on NCIS, revealed that he sang and danced in the 2003 musical From Justin to Kelly, starring Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini. Dietzen played Guarini's nerdy friend in the film and participated in some of the musical numbers. When fellow NCIS star Michael Weatherly learned about Dietzen's musical past, he jokingly danced around and made up songs. Dietzen admitted that he faked his way through the audition for the film, as he didn't have much experience with musicals.

However, he enjoyed the experience, and although he hasn't had to use his singing and dancing skills on NCIS, he had a fun time filming the movie.
