Mark Harmon is a well-known actor, particularly for his role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs on "NCIS." However, his father, Tom Harmon, was also famous in his own right as a football player and broadcaster. Tom won the Heisman Trophy in 1940 and went on to have a successful broadcasting career. He even appeared in a Kellogg's cereal ad with his son Mark. Mark followed in his father's footsteps, first as a football player and then as an actor.
He became a popular commercial actor, including being the face of Coors in the 1980s. His career continued to thrive, earning him an Emmy nomination and the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive in 1986.
