Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy Gibbler on the popular sitcom Full House, decided to leave acting after the show ended in 1995. She pursued a college degree and worked in international education until becoming a stay-at-home mom. However, she returned to acting when she was offered the chance to reprise her role as Kimmy Gibbler in the Full House reboot, Fuller House, which ran from 2016 to 2020. The success of the series reignited her acting career, and she has since appeared in other TV shows, such as Minutiae The Series and That Girl Lay Lay. Despite enjoying her time on Fuller House, Barber had initially left Hollywood due to the industry's "torturous" audition process.
