The Morning Show has been renewed for a fourth season, according to PEOPLE. The renewal came in April 2023, five months before the premiere of season 3 and before the strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) that halted film and TV production. The show, starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, provides an inside look at the fictional news network UBA and explores the personal lives of its employees and the internal politics at play.
Since its debut in 2019, The Morning Show has been a critical success, receiving over 50 award nominations. Aniston won the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award in 2020 for her role as anchor Alex Levy, while Billy Crudup won an Emmy Award in the same year for his portrayal of UBA president Cory Ellison. In season 3, billionaire Paul Marks (played by Jon Hamm) was introduced as a potential savior for UBA.
The season 3 finale hinted that Alex will have a new role within the media company. The fallout from Bradley's cover-up of her brother's involvement in the insurrection may also play a part in the storyline.
