Matthew Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom Friends, has been laid to rest in a private funeral held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles. The actor was found dead in the hot tub at his Los Angeles home at the age of 54. His co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, and David Schwimmer attended the service, dressed in black suits. Perry's tearful mother, Suzanne Morrison, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, along with his father, John Perry, were also present.
The hour-long service concluded with a rendition of Peter Gabriel's song "Don't Give Up." An onlooker described the atmosphere as emotional, with tears and laughter filling the room as close friends and family shared their memories of Perry.
After the funeral service, Perry was buried in a dark wooden coffin in a family-only ceremony.
Crowds of mourners dressed in black stood outside the church, comforting one another. It is unclear whether Perry specifically requested the church for his final farewell or if it was chosen by his family.
