Jensen Ackles, known for his role as Dean Winchester in "Supernatural," has joined the cast of "The Boys" to play Soldier Boy in the upcoming Season 3. Ackles is also involved in the upcoming "Supernatural" prequel "The Winchesters."

Furthermore, Ackles has suggested the idea of resurrecting "Supernatural" with a miniseries that would be darker and shorter, similar to "True Detective." He proposes a reunion with his co-star Jared Padalecki for "one more case as Sam and Dean." Although Ackles is not expecting any such shows to emerge immediately, he has a plan for the most hair-raising "Supernatural" adventure yet.
