Denise Richards recently revealed what went wrong in her relationship with Charlie Sheen. The two got divorced almost a decade ago when she was six months pregnant with their second child. Their "difficult" split was all over the news back in the day. Denise Richards recently talked about divorce in an episode of Dear Media's Divorced Not Dead podcast. She shared "many things" that led to the divorce.
Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen got married in 2002 but decided to end their marriage in 2005 when she was six months pregnant with their second child. They share two daughters together, Sam J. Sheen and Lola Rose Sheen. She explained on the podcast how things were not good at home, "The behind-the-scenes stuff was way worse than what was out there.
The actress revealed that she doesn't regret marrying Charlie Sheen, "I really do feel that he and I were brought together to have our daughters.
"It made me also know I could one day tell my girls that I did everything I could possibly do to make this family unit. I felt the most guilty splitting up the family unit. I struggled with that for years."
She added that the media only saw a part of it and things were not good at her home.
After recovering from the divorce, Denise Richards adopted daughter Eloise in 2011 and then married Aaron Phypers in 2018. Despite the divorce, she thinks their relationship has "evolved" over the years,
"To this day, Charlie does know he can call me at any time, no matter what. I don't care what he says or does, I will show up and be there because I always wanted him—and still do—to be the best dad for our daughters."
She also recently called out Charlie Sheen for disapproving of their daughter's OnlyFans account.
