Nick at Nite will pay tribute to Matthew Perry with a special event titled Matthew Perry: Thanks for Being a Friend. The special will air on Sunday, Oct 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will be a heartfelt homage to the late Friends star. It will showcase never-before-seen interviews with Perry, as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the set over the past 35 years. Viewers will also be treated to heartwarming stories about Perry's best moments as the loveable Chandler Bing and his unbreakable bond with his co-stars.

After the tribute special, Nick at Nite will continue honoring Perry by airing fan-favorite episodes of Friends that feature him in his iconic role as Chandler Bing.

These episodes will be broadcasted throughout the following week, from Monday, Oct 30 to Sunday, Nov 5, with the airing time set at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Friends, which first premiered in 1994, is a beloved sitcom that revolves around the lives and relationships of a tight-knit group of friends in New York City.

The show includes siblings Ross and Monica Geller, portrayed by David Schwimmer and Courteney Cox respectively. Other main characters include Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, Phoebe Buffay played by Lisa Kudrow, Joey Tribbiani played by Matt LeBlanc, and Rachel Green played by Jennifer Aniston. David Crane and Marta Kauffman co-created Friends and served as executive producers alongside Kevin Bright through the production company Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Upon hearing the news of Matthew Perry's passing, the trio released a statement expressing their sadness. They described Perry as someone who brought joy, light, and intelligence to every moment, in both his work and personal life. They concluded the statement by saying, "This truly is The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken."
