Get ready "baby girls," because Shemar Moore is coming back to !
After leaving the CBS show in 2016 after 11 seasons, Shemar is returning to the BAU to reprise his role as Derek Morgan in an episode called "Lucky Strikes," which will air Wednesday, October 25.
, he's coming back to help out his "baby girl" Penelope Garcia, played by Kirsten Vangsness, as she deals with a case that has affected her emotionally. Although no additional information about the episode has been released, it will deal with the return of cannibalistic serial killer Floyd Feylinn Ferrell, played by Jamie Kennedy, later this season.
But this isn't Shemar's first time guest starring on
Shemar is currently busy filming his new drama series , which premieres on Thursday, November 2 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, but showrunner Erica Messer told they discussed bringing Shemar back before he started working full-time on his new show.
"I'm not opposed to those doors opening up again," Shemar told E! News about returning to . "Now, it may not be permanently, and it may not be for a full season, but if there's an opportunity to go back and dance and play, I wouldn't be opposed to that."
