Jared Padalecki and Genevieve Padalecki have a love story that is truly unique. The couple first crossed paths in 2008 while working together on the hit show Supernatural. It was during a scene where Genevieve was portraying a demon in her underwear that Jared was captivated by her beauty. They took the time to get to know each other before going on their first official date a few months later. A year after they started dating, Jared decided to pop the question.

He chose a romantic setting at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York City, in front of Genevieve's favorite painting.

After receiving her stepfather and two brothers' blessings, the couple publicly announced their engagement in January 2010. The couple tied the knot in February 2010 in an intimate ceremony in Genevieve's hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho.

Despite the challenges of coordinating the wedding while being in different cities, they managed to incorporate their love for the outdoors and winter into their wedding theme. For their unconventional honeymoon, Jared and Genevieve embarked on a five-day camping and hiking trip to Machu Picchu. Their experience was far from the typical honeymoon romance, as they embraced the challenges and found humor and comfort in each other's company. The newlyweds decided to make Austin, Texas their home. They fell in love with the city's slower pace and the sense of community they found there. In addition to their three children, their home is also filled with various animals, including dogs, mini horses, bees, and chickens. Over the years, Jared and Genevieve welcomed three children into their family.

In March 2012, their son Thomas "Tom" Colton Padalecki was born.
