Matthew Gray Gubler fans, we may just know why the actor isn't involved with Criminal Minds: Evolution.
When Paramount+ announced the Criminal Minds reboot, viewers were devastated to learn that the longtime CBS actor wouldn't be returning to the procedural drama.
On November 22, the Dollface star shared a video on Instagram of what looked to be a piece of paper bustling through the wind of a cardboard city.
But before it has the chance to hit the ground, a green hand appears from a makeshift sewer to snatch it for itself.
Keeping in theme with the mystery, the clip ends with a message that reads, "Something huggable coming soon ... "
"Rumple returns?!?!" one person asked, referencing his book Rumple Buttercup: A Story of Bananas, Belonging and Being Yourself.
"Omg Rumple??" another follower added. "Duuuuude! Rumple’s back! 🍌💚💛," a different fan exclaimed.
When folks noticed Matthew gave a surprising insight into his next career venture, they immediately began pleading for answers in the Instagram comments section. While the answers were varied, one particular theme stood out.
Who knows, if there is a season 2 of Criminal Minds: Evolution, he'll be free to participate.
But in the meantime, we can't wait to hear more exciting details about Rumple's next adventure!
