Fuller House's Michelle Easter egg went unnoticed by many fans. The youngest Tanner sister didn't appear in the spin-off due to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's lack of interest in revisiting their acting days, but the show made an effort to reference the character throughout its run. In the final season Thanksgiving episode, Stephanie crashes Joey's car into the kitchen, a re-enactment of a Full House episode where a young Stephanie did the same thing.

DJ's youngest son, Tommy, was supposed to be the Michelle of the spin-off, but he was mostly cast aside with no real arc or focus. Fans were unsatisfied with how Fuller House tackled the character's absence beyond Easter eggs and meta-jokes about the Olsens' refusal to reprise their role.
