Pauley Perrette, known for her role as Abby Sciuto on "NCIS," will not be returning for the show's 21st season. Perrette left the series in 2018 and has no plans to return, citing her fear of actor Mark Harmon, who plays Special Agent Gibbs. Their strained relationship reportedly began after Harmon's dog bit a crew member on set. Since leaving "NCIS," Perrette appeared in the sitcom "Broke," which was canceled after one season.
She has since retired from acting and now focuses on gardening, charity work, and recovering from a stroke she suffered in 2021.
