Well, it's one thing for the Beach Boys to be performing in the Alamo City in 2023, but now a little extra "Good Vibrations" can be sprinkled in as one of TV's favorite uncles will also be at the show performing alongside the musical icons.
The Beach Boys announced in a release on Thursday, September 14 that John Stamos will join frontman Mike Love and the group on the road for a limited run – and that string of shows includes a final stop at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio on September 25.
According to the release, Stamos, best known for playing Uncle Jesse in the late 80s and early 90s sitcom Full House, and the later Netflix continuation of the sitcom Fuller House, has a history of playing alongside the Beach Boys for decades.
Stamos first performed alongside the group in 1985 at a show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has maintained a friendship with them since.
The real life friendship between "Uncle Jesse" and company led to Stamos appearing in multiple music videos with the band, and even led Stamos to directing the music video for The Beach Boys song "Hot Fun in the Summertime." On the flipside, Stamos introduced the band to a new generation of fans on Full House in the second season of the show in the late 80s, and a few other episodes in later seasons.
In 2023, Stamos joins the America's Band tour, and will be part of two shows in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, and two shows in Texas: Lubbock and San Antonio.
