Here's how Fuller House's series finale addressed the absence of Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin). After five seasons, Netlfix's Full House sequel series wrapped up with a happy ending for DJ Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), alongside their long-time friend, Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Collectively known as the She-Wolf Pack, the girls held a triple wedding ceremony which was attended by their closest family and friends, but some notable characters were missing during the event, including Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis.
Last year, news broke out that Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, reportedly paid half a million dollars to get their two kids into USC either by faking athletic records or cheating their SAT scores, effectively making them central figures in the national college admission scandal. Not long after that, the actress was dropped from her TV gigs with Hallmark firing her from When Calls the Heart, followed by Netflix who announced that she won't be back for the final season Fuller House.
So, when the first nine episodes of Fuller House season 5 was released in December, fans weren't surprised that Becky was nowhere to be found. While her, husband Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) regularly visited DJ, there was never a mention of her whereabouts. This was especially odd since season 5 ended with the couple moving back to Bay Area after Becky and Danny (Bob Saget) reclaimed their old jobs as anchors of Wake Up, San Francisco.
Instead of prolonging the situation and giving fans false hope that Loughlin might surprisingly make an appearance during the wedding, Fuller House didn't wait that long to address the situation.
