Lori Loughlin may not have been on set for the final episodes of Fuller House, but co-star Candace Cameron Bure says she still felt the presence of her television aunt on the last day of filming. Partway through the fifth and final season of the Netflix revival series, Loughlin was fired by the streamer due to her involvement in last year's infamous college admissions scandal. This meant that Aunt Becky couldn't be present for the show's series finale, but Bure feels that Loughlin was still there in spirit.
Celebrating the anniversary of the day she shot her final episode as D.J. Tanner-Fuller, Bure posted a series of photos from the set on Instagram. One photo revealed a flower bouquet Bure had received that day along with a congratulatory note. "I love you and miss you," the note reads in part, leading fans to speculate that it had been sent by Loughlin. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in a new interview, Bure confirms that the note was indeed from Loughlin, and the gesture helped Bure feel that Loughlin was there in spirit.
"It was a note from her. She sent me flowers, and I believe a few other people some flowers. It was so nice to feel and have her presence there at the show. Yeah, it was really special."
For her role in the college admissions scheme, Lori Loughlin is currently serving her two-month prison sentence while her husband Mossimo Giannulli recently began his own five-month sentence. The two were also fined a total of $400,000, which the couple paid prior to their stints behind bars.
As for what's next for Candace Cameron Bure, the actress says she'd be open to taking on another sitcom role, coming to love the format after spending her entire childhood and several of her recent adult years in the Full House universe.
