Although the hit series is over, it hasn’t stopped fans from reminiscing about their favorite moments in the series. Fans on Reddit recently discussed an iconic moment between (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore). It involves the two of them going at each other with various pranks, but Reid gets the last laugh.
In season 7, episode 4, Reid and Morgan decide to take each other on when they start pulling pranks on one another. Derek speaks to the press in regards to the case they’re working on, and gives out Reid’s phone number as well as claiming he’s Dr. Spencer Reid himself. Reid starts getting phone calls, and he finally answers while really heated.
“Hi, this is Dr. Spencer Reid,” He says. “I actually can come to the phone right now with a very special message that your mother is…” But he gets cut off by Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson).
After the case is solved, the team heads back home, and Morgan is listening to music with headphones. However, the song gets cut off, and he hears Reid through the headphones instead.
“We interrupt your regularly scheduled musical selection with an important announcement,” Reid can be heard saying. “Never wage a practical joke war against an MIT graduate because we have a history of going nuclear. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the dulcet sounds of me screaming in your ear.” Reid starts screaming through the headphones, and Morgan has to take them off.
“OK kid that was cute,” Morgan says. “But that’s all you got?” Spencer has his eyes closed, with the appearance of him sleeping.
Suddenly, Derek gets a phone call, and he thinks it’s Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness). He answers it, but it’s just Reid screaming some more. Reid smiles with his eyes still closed, and Derek says “It’s on.”
