The 1990s is fondly remembered as a time for amazing family programming. Many people grew up watching the likes of shows like , , and of course, . aired from September 22, 1978, through May 23, 1995, spanning 192 episodes across eight seasons, and gained incredible popularity in its second season thanks to its well-placed time slot.
While WB had wanted to pick up the show for a ninth season, Stamos expressed that he was not interested in moving on to the then-small network, and announced that the eighth season would be his last.
The show brought the likes of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen into people's homes and did a fantastic job of either launching or continuing to propel the careers of almost all parties involved in its filming throughout its eight seasons.
The cast of became very close during its filming, as is apparent by the tight-knit relationship formed by comedian Bob Saget and heartthrob John Stamos while filming.

Before had even begun production, Bob Saget attended film school and often made trips to The Improv, a venue known for helping start the careers of many young comedians in New York City.
Saget was able to briefly flex his comedic chops during the 1987 show . Shortly thereafter he was cast as Danny Tanner for , a move which certainly helped the budding comedian's career and afforded him many opportunities, such as hosting

John Stamos had already been establishing his acting career before Saget's even got started, having appeared in the popular soap opera General Hospital in the early 1980s, followed by the sitcoms, and the film .
The two actors crossed paths when Stamos was cast as Jesse Katsopolis (aka Uncle Jesse) in Full House, about a year after Saget was hired on. Both actors remained for the duration of the show through to its end.
