John Stamos and Lori Loughlin played married couple Jesse and Becky on Full House, but as it turns out sparks nearly flew between the two off-screen as well.
In his new memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, Stamos, 60, describes how he almost started dating his co-star out when they both became 'single at the same time' during the mid-1990s, according to Us Weekly.
'She's my Sandra Dee from Grease, the good girl with a kind heart who always makes me feel upbeat when I'm around her,' Stamos said of his co-star.
'She's one of the few women I have spent day after day with and still always look forward to seeing her again. I know what makes her laugh, we get each other and we have the sort of true friendship that's supposed to be the foundation of a great, lasting relationship.
Ultimately, the romance never came to be - Stamos ended up meeting his first wife Rebecca Romijn while attending a party with Loughlin.
Say it isn't so! John Stamos contemplated asking Full House co-star Lori Loughlin out until he met his future wife Rebecca Romijn
The bash was an afterparty for the Victoria's Secret fashion show supermodel Romijn had just walked in.
When describing supermodel Romijn, Stamos compared her to Sandra Dee's edgier alter ego who appears at the end of the musical Grease.
'[She's] the Sandy-in-Black-Leather at the end of Grease,' he said.
Lori could sense Stamos was intrigued by Romijn and the other models.
