The Leviathan season is probably one of the least-liked entries, and these creatures' possession of Castiel directly instigates the season's events. After opening the gates to Purgatory, one of the , he proclaims himself as the new God and ruthlessly kills any angels who oppose his leadership.
Godstiel's power trip and prioritization for ruling over protecting his fellow angels unconditionally is probably what makes him one of the less appealing iterations of Castiel.
