It is safe to assume that we will never leave the vast world of Yellowstone, as Taylor Sheridan seems determined to keep us hooked. The latest addition to the spinoff list is the Yellowstone prequel, called "1944." With news of Yellowstone's future ending and the release date for Yellowstone season 5 part 2 being delayed for another year, fans of the show are in desperate need of good news. Luckily, it was recently announced that the Dutton family story is far from over, and two new shows, titled "1944" and "2024," are currently in development.

Theories are already circulating about what to expect from "1944." What will the show be about? Who will be in the cast?

Will any characters from the 1923 series make a return? Given that the time periods are relatively close, it is possible that some familiar faces may appear. Although information about the series is limited at this time, we can provide you with what we know so far, including casting updates, spoilers, and more.

As of now, an official plot for "1944" has not been released. However, for those with knowledge of world history, it is known that a significant event—World War II—took place during this time. Yellowstone has proven to incorporate real American events into its storyline, as evidenced by both "1883" and "1923." In the latter, Spencer Dutton, a former soldier of World War I, played a prominent role. Given this pattern, we can expect World War II to be at least loosely integrated into the plot of "1944." Additionally, considering that 1944 is just over 20 years after 1923, it is not far-fetched to imagine some of the younger characters making an appearance in this new prequel.

As for the premiere date of "1944," it has not been confirmed yet. However, that won't stop us from making educated guesses! It is likely that we will have to wait until the "1923" series comes to an end.
