Former East Carolina University (ECU) star, Isaiah Winstead, was not drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft despite his impressive statistics from the previous season. After not receiving any offers as an undrafted free agent, Winstead took matters into his own hands and posted his highlights on Twitter. The San Francisco 49ers took notice and signed him, taking a low-risk, high-upside approach. Winstead thanked the 49ers and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
It remains to be seen if he can secure a spot on the roster during fall camp.
