April Kepner's character on Grey's Anatomy had some inconsistencies that didn't make sense to viewers. Her sudden change from being a devout Christian who practiced abstinence to sleeping with Jackson before her board exams, and leaving Matthew at the altar for Jackson were out of character. Additionally, April's departure after losing her child and getting a restraining order against Jackson seemed extreme and hostile.
While April is considered one of Grey Sloan's best trauma surgeons, she was fired twice for neglect and failing her board exams, which made it unrealistic for her to be given second chances. Lastly, her prolonged toxic relationship with Jackson didn't make sense to many viewers.
